Police Seek Driver After Teenage Cyclist Injured in Larne Hit-and-Run
A teenage boy cycling in Larne sustained cuts and bruising after a collision with a white jeep-style vehicle. The incident occurred at around 1.40pm on Wednesday, April 8, near the junction of Ballyboley Road and Donaghys Lane.
The boy was knocked onto the vehicle's bonnet and then onto the road. He received hospital treatment for his injuries.
The driver, described as a man in his 40s with a swarthy complexion and wearing glasses, stopped briefly to speak with the boy before driving away. The vehicle had damage to its bonnet.
Police in Larne are investigating the hit-and-run and appealing for witnesses. They request anyone with dash-cam or CCTV footage from the area to come forward.
