Police appeal after assault and abuse by youths on bikes in Antrim
Police in Antrim are appealing for information after a man was assaulted by a youth on a bicycle in the Castle Gardens area. The incident occurred on June 29 while the victim was walking his dogs. The youth struck him on the back of the head, then directed verbal abuse, some of it crude, toward an elderly couple.
A PSNI spokesperson stated that a small minority of young people using bikes in the area are causing concern. However, the vast majority are respectful and engage positively with officers. The spokesperson emphasised that this behaviour is not acceptable and should not be tolerated.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting serial reference 850 29/06/26.
