Police in west Belfast seek witnesses to an assault on a teenage girl. The incident took place at the junction of Bernagh Drive and Glen Road on Monday, 30th March. It was reported shortly after 8:30 pm.

A male assaulted the girl at the location. A member of the public intervened during the incident. An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The man has been released on bail while police enquiries continue. Officers want to identify the member of the public who intervened. They also seek anyone else in the area at the time.
