Mamo Building Services, an Armagh building contractor, received the Housing Executive's Health and Safety Contractor of the Year award for Response Maintenance Services. The award came at the organisation's annual Contractor Health and Safety Awareness event on 26 March 2026 at Dunsilly Hotel in Antrim.

Over 200 construction and maintenance partners from Northern Ireland attended the event. Discussions focused on enhancing safety standards. Topics included safe management of lithium-ion batteries, gas safety, working in tenants' homes, behavioural safety, and mental health in construction.

The company suffered a deliberate fire at its Milford headquarters in February 2026. Operations resumed almost immediately after substantial damage.

Bayview Contracts won the award for Planned Maintenance Services. John-Joe Madden from Mamo Building Services received the most inspirational young person award. Runners-up included Laura McKee from CFM and Sean Watters from Mascott.
