Education Authority Reports Progress on C2K System Restoration After Cyber Attack
The Education Authority in Northern Ireland stated it is making good progress to restore access to the C2K school IT system after a cyber attack.
The C2K system, provided by Capita, supports school curricula. The Authority had previously apologised to exam preparers over the Easter break disruption.
In a statement released yesterday, the Authority noted its teams worked through the weekend to restore safe and secure access, beginning with post-primary schools.
Restoration efforts will extend over the coming days to cover all schools.
The Authority thanked users for their patience and understanding.
An investigation into the cyber attack remains at an early stage. The Authority stated it cannot yet confirm if personal data was affected.
Updates will appear on the Authority's social media channels and website.
