Sandra Cooney, a classroom assistant at Holy Trinity Primary and Nursery School in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh, died in hospital on Wednesday.

She worked at the school and supported children, staff, and families. A school spokesperson stated that her kindness and compassion helped every child feel supported and valued.

The spokesperson added that her commitment, sense of humour, and daily compassion will be remembered. Her loss affects the entire school community.

Cooney is survived by her children Lauren and Shannon, partner Damian, and grandchildren Tyler, Zara, Esme, and Arlo.

The school extended condolences to her family, friends, and those who knew her.

Her funeral is scheduled for Monday at Holy Cross Church in Enniskillen, followed by burial at the adjoining cemetery.
