Vera King and her son Dermot King from Fintona, County Tyrone, died one day apart over the weekend. Dermot passed away on Saturday at his partner Mary's home. Vera died the next day at South West Acute Hospital.

The family owns the Goalpost Bar in Fintona village.

A joint funeral for Vera and Dermot takes place at St. Lawrence’s Church in Fintona, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Both will repose at Grianan House Funeral Home, 4 Carnalea Road, Fintona, from 2.30pm to 9pm on Monday and from 2pm to 9pm on Tuesday.

The cortege travels from Carryglass Road along Tonagh Road, Tattymoyle Road, Mill Street, Main Street, Tattymoyle Road, and Lisdergan Road to arrive at the church for 10:50am. The family requests community support by lining the route.

Vera is survived by husband Sean, son Barry, sisters Pat Barrett, Anna Breen, Dympna McHugh, and brothers Jim and Gerry. Son Maurice predeceased her.
