Vera King of Fintona died on Sunday at South West Acute Hospital. Her son Dermot King died the previous day at his partner Mary's home.

Both resided in Fintona, County Tyrone. Dermot King previously lived at Carryglass Road and owned the Goalpost Bar there.

A joint funeral for Vera and Dermot King takes place on Wednesday at St. Lawrence’s Church in Fintona, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Reposing occurs at Grianan House Funeral Home, 4 Carnalea Road, Fintona, from 2.30pm to 9pm on Monday and from 2pm to 9pm on Tuesday.

The family requests community members to line the funeral route from Carryglass Road, along Tonagh Road, Tattymoyle Road, Mill Street, Main Street, Tattymoyle Road, and Lisdergan Road, arriving at the church for 10.50am.

Vera King leaves her husband Sean and son Barry. Another son, Maurice, predeceased her. She is also survived by sisters Pat Barrett, Anna Breen, and Dympna McHugh, and brothers Jim and Gerry.
