Karla Hanratty, 26, from Derry Street in Lurgan, faces a charge of attempting to murder a man on February 21. She appeared before Craigavon Magistrates Court on Friday but was not produced from Hydebank Prison.

Her barrister Aaron Thompson informed the court that a bail application had been planned but no suitable address was available. He noted possible police checks on any proposed address and mentioned hostel accommodation as an option.

Thompson requested a two-week adjournment until after Easter to arrange a better setup for release. He confirmed the intention to apply for bail on that date.

Thompson added that Hanratty had remained in custody for about a month without seeking bail until now.
