Enniskillen Town Hall will host a Dáil na Gaeilge event this evening to promote the Irish language. The gathering starts at 7pm.

Sinn Fein councillor Barry McElduff, chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, is hosting the event. McElduff recently hosted a similar event in Omagh.

McElduff stated the event welcomes all Irish speakers, learners, and enthusiasts. He convened the meeting in his role as council chair and as an Irish language speaker himself.

Participants will recognize the presence of the Irish language in the council area. The group will also assess its local status as input to the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council Irish Language Strategy consultation.

All attendees may contribute their perspectives.
