BBC Presenter Clive Myrie on Filming Mastermind in Belfast
Clive Myrie hosts the BBC quiz show Mastermind, produced in Belfast by Hat Trick Productions since 2019. He has presented the programme for five years and asked around 6,000 to 7,000 questions during that time.
The show has featured a youngest winner and one of the oldest winners. Myrie visits Belfast three times a year to film episodes. He describes the production team there as strong.
In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Myrie reported from Belfast during the Troubles. He stayed at the Europa Hotel with other journalists covering developments.
He now visits Belfast during peacetime to record Mastermind. Myrie produced a series with a Derry-based company.
