Eugene McGuinness Plans Album Launch in Derry
Eugene McGuinness will launch his new album Eugene McGuinness Versus the Universe at Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin in Derry on March 28. The event marks his first performance in the city.
McGuinness, whose parents come from Limavady, returns to music after a decade away. Friends Garvan Cosgrove and Charlie Mullan of Docklands Speed Shop Recording Studio proposed the Derry launch. The album appears as a co-release with Mellowtone Records.
McGuinness expressed interest in playing in Derry, and Mullan agreed to host the album launch there. Cosgrove and Mullan described the choice as straightforward.
Big Ráth, the new group from Cosgrove and Mullan, will support alongside Ego the Jackal. Advance tickets cost £13 or £40 including the LP.
