A man died suddenly in the Drumenny Road area of Cookstown, Co Tyrone, on Thursday morning, March 19. Police, along with other emergency services, attended the scene.

The PSNI stated the death is not being treated as suspicious. The Health and Safety Executive received notification and attended the incident in the Cookstown area to conduct enquiries.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service responded to a 999 call at 08:45 that day after reports of an incident at the location. NIAS sent two emergency ambulances, one rapid response paramedic, and the Charity Air Ambulance with HEMS on board. No one was transported from the scene.

Sinn Féin MLA Linda Dillon, representing the area, offered condolences to the man's family. She noted the community feels shock and sadness over the event and expects residents to provide support during the family's grief.
