The Bangor Hockey Club men's firsts squad received the Sports Team of the Year award at the Ards and North Down Sports Awards. The event took place at Clandeboye Lodge Hotel last Friday.

The team won their first Ulster Senior Cup in March 2025 after more than 100 years. The victory occurred on March 12, 2025.

Bangor Hockey Club fields 11 sides. The club has a youth section. The women's firsts squad won an all-Irish trophy recently.
