A man appeared before a Derry court on charges related to child indecent images. He faces accusations of attempted possession of an indecent image of a child. The alleged acts occurred between September 3 and September 17, 2025.

Prosecutors also charged him with encouraging the taking of an indecent image of a child during that period. The man's identity remains protected to safeguard the alleged victim.

A prosecutor noted that the gravity of the charges will delay completion of the case file.
