Derry detectives charged a 31-year-old man with multiple offences. These include kidnap and false imprisonment. Additional charges cover attempted grievous bodily harm with intent and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The man also faces charges of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, along with burglary and theft.

He is scheduled to appear at Derry Magistrates Court on Friday, February 27.

The Public Prosecution Service will review the charges under standard procedures.
