Education Minister Paul Givan has opened a call for project proposals to improve connections between schools, pupils' families and communities in twelve RAISE Localities.

Organisations must submit bids to support these links, as identified as a priority in the localities' Strategic Area Plans.

The RAISE Programme guides communities in addressing educational challenges through plans shaped by input from children, young people, parents, carers and service providers.

Almost £2 million in funding will go to approved projects focused on attendance, parent support and barrier removal.

Givan stated that strong school, home and community ties help pupils stay engaged in learning and meet goals, especially in deprived areas.

Proposals require submission via the RAISE online platform by 12:00 PM on 22 April 2026. A panel of Department officials and external experts will review all applications.
