High-achieving students from low-income households in Northern Ireland can apply for the All Ireland Scholarship Scheme funded by JP McManus. The programme provides £5,850 per year for the duration of an undergraduate course.

Twenty-five scholarships will go to students from grant-aided post-primary schools or further education colleges in Northern Ireland. Applicants must have received the Education Maintenance Allowance during exams and plan to start university in 2026/2027.

Applications close at 4pm on 27 August 2026. The scheme began in the Republic of Ireland in 2008 and extended to Northern Ireland in 2009.
