Family Announces Funeral Details for Belfast Woman Who Died in New York
Louise McCullough, a 48-year-old Belfast native, died suddenly last week while shopping in New York. She had lived in the United States for nearly two decades.
Born in Belfast to Rab McCullough and Marion McCullough, she grew up in West Belfast with brothers James and Robert. She moved to New York about 18 years ago and recently settled in Westchester after time in Charleston.
McCullough worked as an aesthetician in the beauty industry with brands including Estée Lauder. Her brother James stated the family has received many messages from people sharing memories of her support for others.
She planned to return permanently to Belfast in recent weeks to be near her mother and family. She communicated daily with her mother and expressed excitement about reconnecting with relatives.
Her remains arrive in Belfast on Friday morning. The funeral takes place at 10am on Monday at St Agnes’ Church on Andersonstown Road. A livestream will be available.
Visitors may pay respects at the family home from 11am to 8pm Friday through Sunday. She is survived by her mother Marion, brothers James and Robert, sister-in-law Cathy, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family.
