VHL Developments has submitted a planning application for 57 new houses in Omagh. The site lies in the Derry Road area as phase 3 of the Eden Wood development.

Phase 1 of the project includes 23 completed houses. Phase 2 construction is underway with 31 properties.

The proposed phase features dwellings plus open space, landscaping, access roads, an internal road network and site works. The location sits between Edenvale Park and properties along Derry Road.

Roads from phases 1 and 2 connect to the new site. The southern boundary borders a footpath and cycle path with a mature tree verge along Great Northern Road.

An approved access reroutes the public walkway to link with Gortmore Park via phase 2. Fermanagh and Omagh District Council planning department is reviewing the application.
