Declan Gillespie, 37, from Strabane Old Road pleaded guilty to making a threat to kill a woman on July 30. The incident occurred outside the woman's address in Strabane.

Gillespie faced an additional charge of possessing an offensive weapon, specifically razor blades, on the same date. When police arrived, he handed the blades to officers.

Gillespie explained to police that he had the blades from plastering work the previous week. District Judge Ted Magill dismissed the possession charge, stating he was not satisfied the blades were held for an offensive purpose.

Defence counsel Michael Donaghy noted Gillespie's prior record and requested a pre-sentence report. Gillespie will receive his sentence on May 15 following preparation of the report.
