11-Year-Old Boy Dies After Collision on Belfast's Shankill Road
An 11-year-old boy from the Shankill area of Belfast died in hospital after a road traffic collision on the Shankill Road. Police named him as Mason Keilhauer. The incident took place at about 7.25pm on Saturday, 7 March, near the junction with Boundary Street or Dover Street.
The collision involved a grey BMW X5 and the boy, who was a pedestrian. He received hospital treatment but passed away. Officers arrested a 34-year-old man at the scene and released him on bail while enquiries proceed.
Police closed the Shankill Road for several hours for investigation work. The road has reopened. Collision Investigation Unit detectives continue to examine the incident.

Mason Keilhauer attended Malvern Primary School as part of a Clarawood class. The school extended condolences to his family and friends.
