A man died in hospital after a car struck a pedestrian on Shankill Road in north Belfast.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland reported the collision occurred at about 9:45am on Saturday 28 March.

Officers and other emergency services attended the scene.

The man suffered injuries and later passed away in hospital.

Detective Inspector Stewart of the PSNI Collision Investigation Unit stated police received a report of the car-pedestrian incident in the Shankill Road area.

Enquiries continue into the collision.

Police appealed for witnesses or anyone with digital footage to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference 344 28/03/26.
