Elizabeth McClure, 43, of Ballygowan Park in Banbridge, appeared at Lisburn Magistrates Court on charges of possessing cocaine and cannabis.

Police stopped and searched her co-accused on May 30, 2025, leading to a search of McClure's address the next day.

Officers found 5g of cannabis in a mattress and 10g of white powder in 12 bags inside a slipper McClure wore during the search. Empty deal bags were also in the slipper.

McClure told police the white powder was cocaine for her personal use.

District Judge Rosie Watters noted McClure told probation she bought cocaine in bulk to save money, had never tried it before and did not like it. McClure denies possessing the cannabis and claims no knowledge of its presence.

The judge adjourned the case to April 30, 2026, to align with her co-accused's sentencing.
