Victoria House, a self-catering property in Portrush, received a five-star grade from Tourism Northern Ireland's Quality Grading Scheme. Owners Tanya Young and Mark transformed the former derelict building into a six-bedroom accommodation with living areas and modern facilities.

The property sits in central Portrush, two minutes' walk from East and West Strand beaches and Curry's Amusements. It lies less than one mile from Royal Portrush Golf Club.

Tourism NI senior certification and grading officer Deborah Avery stated the owners earned the award through their restoration work. She noted their dedication to quality finishes and guest comfort.

Tanya Young said the project focused on quality, comfort, and detail from the start. She added that the grading offers independent validation of their standards and builds visitor trust.

The scheme applies to hotels, guest houses, B&Bs, self-catering units, hostels, and other guest accommodations. It rates up to five stars based on accommodation, service, and cleanliness standards.
