Ballycastle Library in Northern Ireland hosts the Tides of Time: Ballycastle Heritage Festival from Monday, March 9, to Saturday, March 14. The event focuses on the history, culture, and stories of Ballycastle and the Causeway Coast.

The festival features historians, musicians, storytellers, and heritage specialists. Events take place at Ballycastle Library.

On March 9, Dr Gráinne Milner-McLoone presents on traditional song and its role in identity along the Causeway Coast and Glens at 2:15 p.m. Katy Bustard discusses the 1792 Belfast Harp Festival at 3:00 p.m.

Stephen O’Hara delivers a storytelling session on Irish folklore and local legends on March 10 at 2:15 p.m.

A vintage toys reminiscence session for families occurs on March 14 at 11:00 a.m. Sand art workshops follow at 2:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.

An exhibition on the railway history of Ballycastle and Capecastle remains on display during library hours throughout the week.
