Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council supports St Patrick's weekend events on 14 and 15 March. A free family fun day takes place at Antrim Castle Gardens on Saturday from noon to 5pm. The event includes live music, Irish dancing, Ulster-Scots dancing and children's activities.

The T:BUC programme from the Northern Ireland Executive Office funds the family day alongside Choice Housing, Clanmil Housing and the borough council. T:BUC promotes community unity through shared events.

On Saturday, a St Patrick's themed show runs at The Courtyard Theatre in Ballyearl. The 50-minute performance features stories about leprechauns and fairies plus music. Tickets cost £11.50 with a meet and greet afterwards.

The Rapparees perform an evening concert at Theatre at The Mill on Sunday from 7.45pm. Glengormley School of Traditional Music supports the Irish folk music event. Tickets cost £14.

Mayor Councillor Leah Kirkpatrick stated the events allow families to gather, spend time together and access entertainment in the borough.
