The Old Mill Bakery on Mill Street in Ballymena will stop trading on Saturday 4 April 2026. Owners Marta and Tomasz Gomula made the announcement this week.

The business operated for seven years. It offered handmade loaves, scones, sausage rolls, pancakes and celebration cakes. The owners aimed to produce food from quality ingredients.

Marta and Tomasz Gomula moved to Northern Ireland from Poland 20 years ago. They thanked the Ballymena community for support since the bakery opened.

The couple's four children - Julia, Maciej, Maya and Jaga - assisted in the family business. The owners expressed appreciation to regular customers for loyalty, including through the COVID period.

The bakery will stay open for several weeks. Customers can place advance orders for products.
