A woman sustained injuries at railway gates on William Street in Lurgan on Thursday afternoon. Police received a request for assistance from Northern Ireland Ambulance Service in the area.

Officers attended the scene. The woman received hospital treatment for her injuries.

The railway line closed temporarily. Train services between Lisburn and Portadown resumed after the incident.

Passengers on a train that had just left the station remained on board while emergency services responded.

Translink NI confirmed the line reopened and advised passengers to expect delays as services returned to normal.
