A woman received hospital treatment after an incident at the railway gates in the William Street area of Lurgan, County Armagh, on Thursday afternoon.

Police responded to a request for assistance from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. Officers attended the scene where the woman was treated for her injuries before being taken to hospital.

The incident occurred close to the railway gates. Train services between Lisburn and Portadown closed during the event but have since reopened.

Translink noted disruption to services running through Lurgan and Portadown stations until further notice. The line is now operational, with possible ongoing delays as services normalise.
