Fintona cookery school opens after owner's college qualifications
Karen Dodds has opened Meadowclere Cookery School at her home in Fintona. The 46-year-old offers classes to teach culinary skills.
Dodds worked more than 27 years in aviation before a career change. She enrolled at South West College to obtain formal cookery qualifications despite prior experience in cooking and baking.
She finished level 2 courses in professional cookery, patisserie and general confectionery. Dodds now studies level 3 at the college.
Lecturers Claire and Stephen provided guidance during her training. Dodds plans to expand the school's offerings.
