Asda Bangor Staff Aid Customer After Seizure in Store
Two Asda employees in Bangor, County Down, assisted a customer who suffered a seizure while shopping with her mother and aunt. Service team leader Sam Scott, acting as duty manager, and colleague Jack Pitts responded immediately after being alerted to the incident.
The customer's mother provided first aid. Scott and Pitts cleared the area for privacy, kept other shoppers calm and ensured the woman's dignity until paramedics arrived. An ambulance reached the store promptly and transported the customer to hospital.
After the customer and her mother departed, Scott and Pitts packed her shopping items, paid for them using company funds and arranged for delivery to the aunt. The mother and aunt later visited the store to express thanks. The customer is recovering.
Ami Craig, community champion at the Bangor store, commended Scott and Pitts for their response during the emergency.
