Two churches in Derry will hold free evenings of prayer and music this month during the Lenten season, a Christian period of reflection before Easter.

St Brigid’s Church in Carnhill hosts the first event on Tuesday, March 10, starting at 7:00pm.

St Joseph’s Church in Galliagh follows with the second gathering on Thursday, March 19, also at 7:00pm.

James Kilbane, a vocalist known for Christian music, performs hymns and sacred songs at both events.

Parish community members contribute Scripture readings and prayers.

The events welcome attendees from the parish and broader Derry area.
