Keady Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann will host the first Banks of the Callan Traditional Singing Weekend on March 6 and 7. The event features singing sessions, workshops, storytelling and music sessions. All activities welcome participants from across the region.

The festival opens with an evening of songs and stories at the Tommy Makem Centre on Friday. Performers include Seán Mone, John Makem and Piaras Ó Lorcáin. Audience members can join in, with light refreshments provided. Admission costs £5.

A traditional singing workshop follows, led by Eímheár Mulholland. Booking is available by email to ceide@armaghcomhaltas.org or by calling 07881964435. The fee is £20.

Saturday includes a singing session led by Seán Mone and Eímheár Mulholland, plus a music session directed by Justin Toner and Paul Meehan. Both sessions offer free admission and light refreshments. Musicians are invited to participate.
