Several road and lane closures are scheduled in Ballymena starting Monday, March 2. The closures are required for various works including road widening for a new school, resurfacing, street lighting installation and utility connections. Traffic controls will be in place with expected delays of 5 to 15 minutes.

A continuous lane closure will affect the stretch from No.1 Dunaghy Wood to 250m past it, running daily from 7:00am on March 2 until 6:00pm on May 29. This is for construction of road widening works linked to the new Lady Queen of Peace School.

Full road closures include the section from the junction of Station Court to the junction with Church Meadows, from 9:30am on March 2 until 4:30pm on March 6, for installation of NIE and DFI street lighting road crossings. A diversion route via B0053 Station Road, B0053 Kilgad Road, B0059 Doagh Road, B0098 Carncome Road, B0098 Main Street and B0098 Church Road will operate.

Another full closure runs from Old Galgorm Road to Woodtown Road, from 8:00am on March 2 until 6:00pm on March 7, for carriageway resurfacing. Local access will be maintained, and a diversion via U2029 Woodtown Road, U2027 Sand Road, A0042 Galgorm Road and U2031 Old Galgorm Road will be signposted.

Additional closures include the junction with Old Cullybackey Road to the junction with Tullygrawley Road on March 3 from 9:30am until 1:00pm for NIE overhead line work and vehicle parking. Lane closures are set for Killane Manor to Killane Road on March 3, outside numbers 33 to 22 from March 2 to 6, Lisles Hill Road to Munie Road and Fenagh Road to Kildowney Road on March 6, and a continuous lane closure from the Larne Road roundabout to 50m beyond Wardlow Road until May 5, all for utility and connection works.
