Melanie Kamenvoa, a student at Devenish College in Enniskillen, completed a week of work experience at the Fermanagh Herald.

During her placement, Kamenvoa participated in writing stories, attending meetings and other journalistic activities.

She described work experience as an important opportunity for students to explore careers beyond the classroom.

Kamenvoa, who aspires to a career in law, stated that the placement developed her communication skills, teamwork and analytical thinking.

She wrote and published her first articles, gaining insight into professional responsibilities and accuracy in journalism.

Kamenvoa attended court for the first time, an experience she said confirmed her ambition to pursue law.
