TG4 will air a Laochra Gael episode on Antrim hurler Neil McManus on Thursday 26 February at 9.30pm.

McManus spent more than 15 years with the Antrim senior hurling team and his club Ruairí Óg Cushendall. He scored many points from the forward line. Supporters noted his high work rate and skill at placed balls. He supported hurling growth across Ulster.

The programme includes input from Neil McManus, Hugh McManus, John McManus, Dorothy McManus, Maria McManus, Aileen McManus, Aoibhín and Páidí McManus, Arron Graffin, Richie Hogan, Cairbre Ó Cairealláin, Pat Fleury, Cahair O’Kane and Paddy McGill.

Jarlath Burns, president of the Gaelic Athletic Association, called Laochra Gael a core element of GAA television output. He noted its role in sharing player stories and its growth over time.
