The Oldcroft family has reported that £4,000 was raised for the Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) Action charity through a grand hamper draw held in memory of Christopher Oldcroft, the former head chef at The Moorings Restaurant in Bellanaleck.

Mr Oldcroft died unexpectedly in August 2024 at the age of 35. The family organised the fundraiser at Cáfe At The Castle in Enniskillen.

The family has served notice of their intention to cease trading at the Enniskillen Castle café. In a statement, they thanked the community for their support, including customers, regular groups, council staff, and former employees.

The statement included a tribute to Mr Oldcroft, noting that the family began their hospitality journey together in February 2017 and describing the experience as memorable despite its challenges.
