An Enniskillen restaurant known for its New Haven-style pizza has been nominated for Northern Ireland’s Favourite Local Business 2026.

Angie’s New Haven APizza, on Cornagrade Road, is among more than 160 businesses taking part in the Enniskillen Gift Card scheme. The competition aims to recognise local businesses and offers entrants a chance to win a share of £2,000 in Town & City Gift Cards.

The restaurant opened in 2021 after owner Nicky Rooney returned to Northern Ireland following 22 years in the United States. It serves thin-crust pizza cooked in a coal-fired oven, along with poutine, loaded fries, wings and a dish called Original Pacos.

General manager Ryan Tummon said the restaurant had introduced a new concept to the area and that customer service was a priority. He said staff aimed to treat everyone like an old friend, whether on a first or 30th visit.

The business is named after Rooney’s mother, Angela. Tummon said Angie’s was very much a family business.

The Enniskillen Gift Card initiative is run by Enniskillen Business Improvement District. Noelle McAloon of the BID said more than £300,000 worth of the cards were sold in 2025, helping keep money in the local economy.

Nominations for Northern Ireland’s Favourite Local Business 2026 close on November 30. The business with the most nominations will win a £1,000 Town & City Gift Card, and one person who nominated the winning business will also receive a £1,000 gift card.
