Holy Trinity Primary School in Enniskillen is celebrating 25 years since opening on September 1, 2001.

To mark the anniversary, a special Holy Trinity Mass will be held at St Michael's Church on October 14 at 1pm. Principal Katrina Cathcart stated that the Mass serves as both the first anniversary celebration and the opening Mass for the new academic year.

The school has invited anyone connected with Holy Trinity over the past 25 years, including former staff members. After the Mass, former staff will visit the school to view displays of photographs and memorabilia.

Further events are planned throughout the year by the Friends of Holy Trinity, a parent support group.

Holy Trinity has grown to 535 pupils, making it the largest primary school in Fermanagh. It is a three-form entry school with three classes per year group. The school offers seven specialist provisions within mainstream classes, three social communication classes, two learning support classes, a speech and language class, and a nurture room.

The staff includes approximately 37 teachers and more than 60 classroom assistants. Principal Cathcart acknowledged the support of staff, the senior leadership team, vice-principals, the board of governors, parents, and the wider school community. She also credited former principal Brian Treacy for inspiration.

Cathcart described the anniversary as a huge opportunity and responsibility.
