A 35-year-old Cookstown woman has been convicted of criminal damage after a brick was thrown through a house window in the town.

Stacey Watterson, of Beechway, appeared at Dungannon Magistrates Court, where District Judge Francis Rafferty found her guilty following a contested hearing. The judge remarked that the charge should not have been disputed, given the evidence available.

The court heard that the incident occurred on 16 May last year. CCTV footage showed Watterson getting out of a car with a male and moving towards the property. Watterson, who admitted being a passenger, told the court she could not remember the name of the driver or recall getting out of the vehicle and running towards the house.

Judge Rafferty ordered a pre-sentence report to be prepared for 3 September.
