A new exhibition titled “Everyone Belongs Here” has been unveiled by Féile in Derry. The display carries a message that the city is welcoming and proud of its diverse community.

Eibhlín Morrison of Féile said the exhibition celebrates the range of people who make up the neighbourhood, including all genders, races, and religious backgrounds. She described it as a powerful presentation with a straightforward message.

The exhibition is intended to encourage young people to reject sectarianism, misogyny, racism, and hatred. Morrison stated that Féile would continue to oppose what she called the normalization of abuse, pointing to a recent rise in offensive content on social media.

Morrison added that the ideas behind the exhibition are not radical but are the basic foundations of a fair society: a safe home, the right to be different, and the freedom to be oneself.
