A new online reporting tool has been launched by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council to help tackle environmental crime. The service allows members of the public to report incidents such as littering, dog fouling and fly-tipping at any time via the council's website.

Users can upload photographs, add comments and provide location details. The system can also generate a GPS grid reference to help council officers find exact locations, which is useful in remote areas without street addresses.

Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Dawn Huggins, said the borough is noted for its scenic landscapes and clean towns and villages. She noted that council staff work daily to maintain these standards, and the new tool will make it easier for residents to alert the council to problems. By working with communities, the council can respond more quickly to incidents.

The information collected will assist the council in identifying hotspots for environmental crime and planning targeted action. Reports will be assessed for further investigation or clean-up operations as needed.

The reporting service can be accessed through a QR code or directly on the council's website.
