The west Belfast festival Féile an Phobail continues on Saturday with a carnival parade through the Falls area and an evening concert in Falls Park.

The carnival parade assembles at Dunville Park at noon and leaves for Spórtlann na hÉireann at 1pm. A Party in the Park runs from 2pm until 4pm, offering families inflatables, a climbing tower, archery, go-karts, face painting, games and appearances by superhero characters.

Saturday night’s concert headliners are County Tyrone folk band The Whistlin’ Donkeys, returning after last year’s performance. Supports All Folked Up and Johnny Quinn Macs open the show. Gates open at 5pm.

Other entertainment includes comedian Neil Delamere, who performs his show Reinventing The Hell at the Devenish Complex at 7pm.

At 3pm, St Mary’s University College hosts a launch for Martina Anderson’s autobiography Choosing The Struggle. Eibhlín Glenholmes will interview Anderson, whose book recounts her Derry upbringing, republican involvement, imprisonment, and later work as an MLA and MEP.

Daytime events also include a Féile Book Fair at Conway Mill from 10am, a Suicide Awareness and Support Group 5k walk starting from McEnaney’s at 12.30pm, and the Joe Cahill Gaelic Competition for young players at O’Donnell’s GAC and St John’s GAC from 1pm to 5pm.
