Police appeal after Limavady man attacked with metal pole during burglary
Police are investigating an aggravated burglary in Limavady that left a man with a leg injury after he was attacked in his home early on Friday 31 July.
A man gained entry to a house in the Greystone Road area shortly after 3am, according to Detective Inspector Ballentine.
The intruder demanded that the male occupant hand over his wallet. When the occupant did not comply, he was kicked and struck on the leg with a metal pole.
The attacker then took the victim's wallet and car keys and fled from the property.
The suspect is described as tall, of heavy build, with his face covered and wearing a green coat.
Detective Inspector Ballentine said enquiries are ongoing and appealed for anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area at the time to come forward.
