A large contingent of American visitors from Boston is in Derry this summer, travelling with the Boston-based tour operator Cara Group Travel. The group includes three football teams competing in the Foyle Cup, a music group, and more than 80 travelling supporters.

Cara Group Travel regularly includes Derry on its Ireland itineraries for American tourists. This summer marks a particularly sizable presence, with the operator bringing sports teams and performers to the city.

The Foyle Cup, a long-established youth football tournament, provides competitive matches for the visiting teams. The music group within the party has also scheduled performances, although details remain limited.
