Over £26.5 million worth of Class A and Class B drugs were seized in Northern Ireland in 2024/25, according to a new report from the Organised Crime Task Force (OCTF). The annual report outlines the work of criminal justice agencies in tackling organised crime.

Justice Minister Naomi Long published the report on 20 July 2026, detailing the latest threat assessment and operational response. She said police alone seized drugs with an estimated street value of £21 million, with Border Force and the National Crime Agency involved in further seizures.

The report assesses that 75 per cent of organised crime groups are involved in the supply of illicit drugs. The OCTF partners also targeted counterfeit goods, offensive weapons and cybercrime.

Minister Long described the work of disrupting organised crime groups as complex and demanding. She praised the adaptability and innovation of policing and law enforcement partners in responding to evolving threats.

She stressed that public help is vital. Reporting suspicious or criminal activity can help disrupt networks and reduce their impact on communities.
