Police in Strabane are investigating two separate thefts reported in recent days, including the theft of a large quantity of alcohol from a lorry.

The alcohol theft occurred in a car park on Railway Street between Friday, 3 July and Sunday, 5 July. Details of the brand or type of alcohol have not been released.

A PSNI spokesperson appealed for anyone with information to contact officers on 101, quoting reference 1207 06/07/26.

In a separate incident, a pair of sunglasses was stolen from a woman in Abercorn Square on Sunday, 12 July at around 8.30pm. Police are seeking witnesses who were in the area at the time.

The reference number for the sunglasses theft is CC2091 12/7/26.
