MLAs Tour New Disability Service Facility in Conlig
Two local MLAs have visited the Strides Day Opportunities Service at its newly opened facility in Conlig. North Down MLA Connie Egan and Strangford MLA Nick Mathison met with the team to learn about the support provided to young adults with learning disabilities.
The service offers a range of programmes, including health and wellbeing initiatives, work experience, and support to develop independence, confidence, and life skills. During the visit, Ms Egan remarked that Strides had achieved a great deal and that she had been privileged to support its growth. Mr Mathison noted the service's focus on meeting participants' needs through tailored activities.
The move to the Conlig site will allow Strides to continue assisting people from across the local area. Both MLAs expressed their appreciation for the tour and said they looked forward to ongoing engagement with the organisation.
