A man has been arrested by detectives investigating disorder that occurred in Newtownabbey in June.

The 40-year-old was detained in the Newtownabbey area on Friday, July 10, and is being questioned on suspicion of arson endangering life with intent, riot, criminal damage, and unlawful assembly.

Police said the arrest relates to a protest in the Antrim Road and Sandyknowes Roundabout area on Wednesday, June 10, during which a lorry was set on fire.

The suspect remains in police custody.
